Daddy Daughter Date Night

This Daddy Daughter Date Night is expected to be the best yet. This evening is for girls age 5-16 and their “dates” (dads, step-dads, grandfathers, uncles or other significant man in their life - no moms allowed!) and includes dinner, dessert, dancing, and a chance to win raffle prizes.
John Locus Photography will be on hand once again to capture the magic of the evening. Photos may be purchased for an additional fee.
This is a formal event: young ladies should wear a dress; sport coat/suit and tie for the male attendants. This is a truly classy evening that will create memories to last a lifetime.
Pre-registration is required and is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Fee: $42 for general resident couple, $19 for each additional general resident daughter; $38 for CARD resident couple, $17 for each additional CARD resident daugther. Registration ends at noon on February 24 or when the event is full.

Letters from Santa
Treat your child to the excitement of the holiday season with his or her own, personalized letter from Santa Claus himself!

Monster Dash 5K Walk/Run (Formerly called Freaky Fives)

The Monster Dash is a great way to get into the Halloween mood. The 11th annual 5K race encourages participants to wear their fun/freaky Halloween costumes for a pre-race costume contest.
Awards will be presented for the costume contest, and to the top overall male and female finishers, and to the top finishers in each 5K running category. Free refreshments will be available to all who participate

This isn’t your grandparents’ barn dance -we’ll be two-steppin’ to modern country hits. Come for the music, stay for refreshments, and free hot dogs and s’mores over a roaring bonfire. Admission fee is $5 per person (3 and under free); $20 maximum per family

Splash City’s Battle of the Bands

Whether you play rock, jazz, R&B or anything in between, show us what you’ve got at Splash City’s Battle of the Bands. This competition is open to local teenage talent (band members should be 12-21 years old) and will be held after hours inside Splash City Family Waterpark.
Admission to the event is $5 per person and includes the Battle of the Bands competition and full use of Splash City Water Park.
*Bands will need to submit an application and a demo CD with 2-4 songs, or the link to their MySpace or Facebook band pages to the CARD offices, 10 Gateway Drive in Collinsville.
Fishing Derby
Saturday, June 2 at Woodland Park Lake. Registration at 8:30 am, fishing at 9 am, weigh-in at 11 am.
Free event for children 15 years old and under.
Bring your pole, bait and bucket for fish. A limited number of loaner poles will be available. Catch a tagged fish that day and receive a special prize! There will be prizes and giveaways, and a free hot dog and soda for all participants.
Sponsored by the Sunrise Kiwanis Club, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, the Southwestern Illinois Special Recreation Association and CARD.

Take a dash and cool down with a splash. Start this fun-filled evening with a 5K
run/walk then cool off and relax with a private party, dinner and music at Splash City Family Waterpark. The party is open to friends and family members of those participating in the 5K run/walk.

CARD and the Artisan Guild of Southern Illinois are partnering to bring the early 1900s to life during Heritage Day at Willoughby Farm. This event will include live demonstrations of weaving, quilt-making, yarn dying, blacksmithing and much more. Visitors will also celebrate the return of warm breezes, blooming flowers, clear skies, green grasses and all the brightness that spring brings with nature tours, scavenger hunts and garden activities during this family-friendly event. Be sure to stay for the live music and pig roast!
Admission is free.

Willoughby Farm is hosting an “old fashioned” hoedown! Join us for an evening of traditional country dance lessons and demonstrations, live music, a square dance caller, and old-fashioned fun! Music, refreshments and a swingin’ good time will be had by all.
Demonstrations and lessons are held from 7-8 pm, dancing from 8-10:30 pm. The cost is $5 per person (3 and under free), $20 maximum fee per family
SWISRA’s Night at Splash

The Southwestern Illinois Special Recreation Association (SWISRA) and CARD are holding a special event just for children and adults with disabilities and their immediate families. This private party is open to all ages and is a chance for individuals with special needs and their families to enjoy the water park. Entrance is $5 per person.

This will be Splash City’s third annual Back to School Bash at Splash. Take a break and celebrate the last summer nights at Splash City before the kids are totally into school mode. Enjoy the latest tunes with a DJ and splash, swim, slide and play the night away! Embrace the last summer nights!

This event is for adults 21 years old and over ONLY. $35 per person, $60 per couple
Enjoy a catered buffet dinner with pool-side seating, authentic Polynesian entertainment and music. Of course, the night would not be complete without cocktails!
